Meet Catherine

Law firms and in-house teams seeking practical support across legal tech projects.

Legal tech vendors looking to refine their offer and better engage their target audience.

Who We Work With

BamLegal is led by me, Catherine Bamford. With 15+ years of experience in the legal sector, I’ve worked directly with both law firms and legal tech providers to help shape their technology strategies and build meaningful change.

Behind the scenes, BamLegal is supported by a trusted group of collaborators—each with specialist expertise spanning areas such as document automation, AI-assisted legal tools, and tech implementation.

We understand the complexities of legal work because we’ve lived it—building automations, troubleshooting adoption, and working alongside legal teams to get systems working in practice, not just in theory.

READY TO WORK TOGETHER?

I first got into legal tech while practising as a Commercial Real Estate lawyer at Pinsent Masons. I went on a three-month secondment to automate my team’s documents and, honestly, I never looked back.

Since then, I’ve spent over 15 years helping legal teams choose and use technology that actually makes their work easier. From banking agreements and real estate transactions to employment contracts and client-facing tools, I’ve automated hundreds of complex legal documents along the way.

I’ve worked with firms like Dentons, Slaughter and May, Hogan Lovells, Linklaters, DLA Piper and Latham & Watkins to improve how their lawyers draft legal documents.
I also work with legal tech vendors, helping them connect with the right firms and making sure their products solve real problems for lawyers.

Along the way, I’ve been lucky to be recognised as one of the Financial Times Top Ten Legal Technologists, a Women of Legal Tech Honouree and a Fastcase 50 recipient. But for me, the real win is seeing people use the tech they’ve invested in and feeling the difference it makes to their day-to-day work.
